More Mexico Fun
It seems as each time we go to Mexico we end up having an "Mexican Adventure", this trip was no different. One day we set out to check out a town that was near by, and so our adventure began.
There were many new beach homes and resorts going up, those were nice. Then we found the whale skeleton and what I think was supposed to be a museum. We got to look at some bones, shells other fun sea items.
Then on to the aquarium. Really it was a garage with some fish tanks. But, we stopped and paid our $4 a person to go in.
Then we drove out to see another resort, we drove up to it, and then drove away. It was nice, Steve and I had been in before, so we decided not to drag the kids all over the property.
The adventure did end on a good note, we ate at "The Taco Stand."

Mexico Fun Favorites
We have been to Mexico enough that we now have our favorite things to do.
"The Chicken Shack" Not much of a restaurant, but a whole lot of food. We get a whole chicken, that has been grilled, two bags of tortillas, and all the fixing's for $11. We got two chickens and it fead all 9 of us. Not bad for $22!!
"The Taco Stand" Now they are really coming along. When we were there two years ago they just had a dirt floor. Now they have concrete. These are by far the best tacos, EVER!!! Homemade tortillas, with your choice of beef, chicken or fish. They bring out the taco, and then a big tray of goodies. Cabbage, radishes, several sauces, limes and guacamole. We won't talk about health department guidelines, the tray of goodies gets passed to everyone in the restaurant, all day. So, I only eat the guacamole in the morning, it starts to look a little sad in the afternoon. They now have a kids bouncy slide and a mechanical bull to ride. But with the changes also come a price. The tacos were $1, now they are $1.30.

Mexico Fun Pt 3
On Thursday afternoon we took the kids to a comedy and pet show. It was so much fun. There was juggling, dogs doings tricks and amazing cats.
On Friday we drove to Phoenix, we stayed at Mike & Nicole's house.
When we saw the city I told Ellyn there it is. And she said " There is Mike's city!"
Mike gave the kids Spanish lessons, he taught them everything from "hello" to "where's my mom?" after that we were ready to go.

Mexico Fun Part 2
We left town Tuesday after lunch with high hopes of making it to Mesquite before dinner. Well, we were on the road all of 40 minutes before we (ok, me) had to go potty. The kids did better on the drive than I did. I don't think they once asked "are we there yet?", I am pretty sure I did, many times.
On Thursday we went to the Shark Reef in Las Vegas. Steve and I had been there before and couldn't wait to take the kids. We each got phone like things so we could listen to cool info on what was in each tank.
We got to pet a sting ray and a horseshoe crab. That was my favorite part.
Here is a tunnel tank that we could walk through. They had all kinds of cool animals in the tank.
There was a scuba diver cleaning the big tank that day, that was the kids favorite part.

Vacation Fun
The weeked before our big family vacation we went to Mesquite. We took Josh with us, to babysit so Steve and I could go out. And I think he only babysat once for us. Unless you count the day I went to St. George by myself and he stayed with Steve and the kids.
Not much to do in Mesquite, so the kids made their own fun.
The pool was very nice, but the water was too cold for me to get in.
The kids always have so much fun bowling, we thought even though it wasn't New Years day, we would take them any way. (For those of you who are not part of the Snyder clan, on New Year's day we usualy go to breakfast at Golden Corral, and then go bowling.)
